The Grimoire of Arthur Gauntlet

Readers of The Book of English Magic will love Avalonia Books’ latest offering: The Grimoire of Arthur Gauntlet edited by David Rankine.

Every cunning person developed their own collection of prayers, charms and remedies and here you can find a 17th century cunning-man’s own ‘Book of Shadows’

Arthur Gauntlet was based in Gray’s Inn Lane in London, and his personal working book contains a fascinating diverse mixture of herbal remedies, prayers, magical and biblical charms, with previously unseen angelic conjurations and magic circles, in an eclectic blend of practical magic for health, wealth, love and protection.
